My husband and I stayed for a weekend in June. We traveled with another couple and their young daughter for a milestone birthday in town. The location couldn’t be better. We were so close to everything: the venue (beautiful Mila), restaurants, shops. The owner, Rita, was such a nice host. She is so knowledgeable about the home’s history and Exeter itself. It was lovely chatting with her over the delicious French toast breakfast. Thank you, Rita!

Rita hosted my group of about eight friends total plus one child for an incredible stay for our 15th high school reunion at nearby Phillips Exeter Academy. We loved having a community within our bigger reunion weekend, and enjoyed multiple wonderful home-cooked breakfasts from Rita. Rita made a wonderful egg dish Saturday morning, taking everyone's dietary restrictions into account in advance. We enjoyed local jams on our toast including a Maine blueberry jam. Sunday we had a delicious french toast recipe. One friend brought her five year old son, who thoroughly enjoyed his weekend visiting New Hampshire. The common areas and ability to meet local friends such as my former teachers on-site really helped with my weekend logistics. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and loved the beautiful garden and landscaping in the sunny spring weather. Thank you again Rita for all your hospitality. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting the area. It's a great value and quite a welcoming environment for an individual up through a larger group.

We just spent a weekend at this beautiful B&B. Rita and Pete are two of the nicest and most welcoming hosts who really made our stay so wonderful. The B&B is so clean and very well kept. Rita’s breakfasts were amazing, especially her special french toast bake. We enjoyed wonderful conversations with them and learned so much about the area, restaurants, and places to visit. We can’t wait to go back. We highly recommend staying at their B&B. Cathy and Jim

Our stay at Around the Corner Bed & Breakfast was fantastic! The house is so lovely, rooms were extremely well-kept and comfortable, and Rita is amazing! She made our vacation extra special and made us feel so taken care of! We really appreciated her attention to detail, hospitality, kindness, and personal touches (such as books and decorations on every floor)! The breakfast was delicious and a great experience to meet other guests! A true gem in Exeter!

A wonderful and welcoming house and owners. The rooms are well decorated and the grounds lovingly cared for. Peter and Rita are one of the best pair of proprietors you can ask for. The house is in a perpetual state of cleanliness, and it's a quiet comfortable place to unwind. I make regular trips to the area, and I have found my new "base of operations" to stay at. I deeply thank both of you for putting me in such a nice room, and look forward to my next say in a month or so. Matt

I recently had the pleasure of staying at what can only be described as a hidden gem of a bed and breakfast, and it completely redefined my expectations of this charming accommodation style. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the true star of this experience is the host. Rita’s warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care in making everyone’s stay special truly stood out. It felt less like checking into a B&B and more like being welcomed into a friend's home. The room was cozy and very comfortable, and the breakfast was homemade and delicious! We stayed in the Wyeth room with a shared bathroom, which I was initially unsure about, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t an issue at all. I have to admit, I was skeptical about booking a B&B. It seemed like something that might not align with my usual preferences. However, this experience was a delightful surprise. The homey atmosphere and exceptional service won me over. In fact, I’ve already booked two more stays. If you’re hesitant to try a B&B, don’t be—highly recommend Rita’s Around the Corner Bed & Breakfast over the chain hotels in the area. She will make you feel like family, and every detail is attended to with care. Rita and the whole experience are truly top-notch!
